On a tranquil evening at a bustling swimming pool in the heart of Brisbane, the air buzzed with excitement as Waterpolo teams gathered for their weekly matches. The ambiance was electric, with teams in the water, umpires poised on the sidelines, and spectators cheering from the stands.  Calling for the ball filled the air, punctuated by the sharp blasts of umpire whistles and the fervent calls of team members vying for possession of the ball.

Yet, amidst the lively scene, there lingered a stillness in one corner of the pool.  A man had silently slipped beneath the surface, his body succumbing to a sudden heart attack, leaving him motionless face down in the water.

What followed was a scene of panic, yelling, confusion and hysteria.

Staff members of the pool hesitated not knowing what to do, equipment was able to be located or out of date, spectators attempted to assist but were more a hinderance resulting in a scene of chaos.

It's experiences like these that fuel the mission of our organisation every single day. We understand the critical importance of proper training, knowing all too well that the outcome of such incidents could have been vastly different had those present been equipped with the necessary skills to save a life.

My own journey into the realm of CPR and first aid training began at a tender age of five. As an eager observer and occasional participant, I witnessed firsthand the reluctance of staff at our family-run swim school as they begrudgingly shuffled into training sessions, muttering about the duration of the process.

That's why, at Synergy, we are unwavering in our commitment to providing comprehensive, industry-specific training that not only meets but exceeds expectations. Our approach is anything but mundane; we strive to infuse each session with energy and excitement, ensuring our students are not only prepared but eager to rise to the occasion when faced with high-stakes situations.

So, bid farewell to dull lectures and tedious slideshows – our team is here to ensure you leave each training session feeling empowered and ready to make a difference, one life-saving skill at a time.

Yours in safety,
