Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel (includes CPR!)

This course equips participants with the practical skills and knowledge required to safely perform a rescue from a live low voltage (LV) electrical panel and CPR. This course applies to workers in the electrical supply, maintenance, transmission and distribution sectors, and anyone who may act as a safety observer around live LV equipment.

This course covers accredited CPR (HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation), along with mandatory workplace requirements for LV rescue equipment, safety practices, and compliance with WHS/OHS responsibilities.

Course Content:

  • Prepare to perform rescue procedures from live LV panel

  • Carry out rescue from live LV panel

  • Complete the LV panel rescue procedure

  • Recognise and assess an emergency situation.

  • Ensure safety for self, bystanders and casualty.

  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

  • Operate an automated external defibrillator (AED).

  • Accurately convey incident details to emergency services.

  • Report details of incident in line with appropriate procedures.

  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of information in line with the policies of the organisation.
