CPPFES2005 - Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment

This course is suitable to employees who are responsible for demonstrating how to interpret and follow manufacturers’ instructions on various first attack firefighting equipment in emergency situations. It includes how to use a portable fire extinguisher, fire hose reels and fire blankets.

PUAFER004 – Respond to Facility Emergencies

This course, otherwise known as the fire evacuation course, provides the necessary skills to be ‘emergency aware’ in a facility.

It covers the skills and knowledge required by occupants in a facility such as a building, structure or workplace to recognise and report emergencies, respond to emergency warnings and advice and to take appropriate action during the emergency such as choosing the most appropriate course of action and evacuating from a danger area. All aspects of this course will be undertaken in accordance with legislative requirements, organisational policies and procedures and accepted safe practices.

Course Content:

  • Prepare for emergency situations

  • Report emergencies 

  • Respond to emergency warnings and advice

  • Choose most appropriate course of action

  • Evacuate from danger area
